(Sometimes/Sometime/Some time) it is just hard to come up with something constructive to (say/speak/gossip/tell) in a discussion. The most embarrassing moment came this afternoon when one of my colleagues all of a sudden questioned me, “why are you being speechless, Jack?” “Yeah, do share with us your point of (view/sight/scenery/ scene),” another colleague of mine continued. Well, I have to confess that I was not well-prepared for this project. However, if I had (told/uttered/talked/stated) the truth, I might have got fired. “Well,” noticing there was something wrong with me, Mary put an end to the silence of the whole meeting. “In my pinion, it would be more (sense/ sensual / sensitive/sensible) to let the chair of the meeting hold the microphone now after (such/so) many of us have occupied it for (such/so) a long while,” she suggested. Her help obviously (spares/spared/saves/ saved) me the trouble. After the meeting, I walked up to Mary and asked if she was available (sometimes/some time/sometime) next week. I would like to buy her a cup of coffee. She declined and told me off for failing to perform well in the meeting. “You should feel (shame / shamed/ ashamed/shames) for that, Jack! Do concentrate on your work!” she said. Well, this time, I really learned it the hard way.
